Welcome to the IRDTC Early Spring Training Session of 2012! Registration and orientation are scheduled for Wednesday, March 7th starting at 6:30 pm at the club. Please bring proof of your dogs rabies vaccination when you register your dog or if your puppy is not old enough for that vaccination yet please bring it when they have had it.
IRDTC monthly meeting will follow and a trainers meeting for all trainers and those interested in training/assisting will follow our monthly club meeting.
Owners and their dogs begin classes the week of March 12th. The last class of this session is the week of April 30th.
Monday’s
6:00 – 7:15 PM Rally All Levels – taught by John and Kathy Perusich
- Come develop or fine tune your Rally skills. You and your dog will work as a team to navigate through all levels of courses.
Price per class: Nonmembers-$70 Non-active members-$50 Active Working Members-$10
7:30 – 8:30 PM Obedience Competition-taught by John and Kathy Perusich
- This class will consist of on/off leash heeling, sits, and downs. Some attention work. Exercises pertaining to Novice, Beginner Novice, Graduate Novice and Open.

Tuesday’s
6:00 – 6:50 PM Agility Foundations – taught by Jean Matushek
- Beginner foundation class is for dogs and handlers who have never done agility before or want to retrain their agility foundation. We will start with basic ground work necessary for all crosses, beginning weave and contact obstacle training. This class will be for teams who want to have a safe and reliable foundation for agility work and would like to possibly explore competing in the future.

7:00 – 7:50 PM Agility Beginner/Novice – taught by Jean Matushek
- This class is for those wishing to take the next step after Agility Foundations where they will learn more to work towards competing in Beginner and Novice Agility.

8:00 – 8:50 PM Agility Advanced Competition – taught by Jean Matushek
- This class is for those serious competitors working towards titling their dogs in the fun sport of Agility.

Wednesday’s
6:30 – 7:15 PM Puppy Obedience Class-taught by Snoflake Kokal & Jennifer Barfnecht
- Puppy Class is for dogs 12 weeks to 5 months of age. This class is designed for owners to learn good puppy management skills by strengthening the bond between owner and puppy, addressing basic household manners, socialization and to understand canine behavior and body language. This foundation will allow you to train your puppy and build his skills and yours for a rewarding lifelong relationship.

7:30 – 8:15 PM Beginner Obedience-taught by Patty Stanaway & Marybeth Kafut
- This class is for dogs who have either completed Puppy Class or know the basic commands or are 6 months or older.

8:30 – 9:15 PM CGC/TDI (Canine Good Citizen/Therapy Dog International)–taught by Mary Beth Kafut and Patty Stanaway
(6 week class) PLEASE NOTE: ***Testing fee for CGC and/or TDI not included in class price and they will cost an additional fee***
- This class is designed to help people and their dogs pass theTDI/CGCtests. TheCGCtest is designed to evaluate dogs that have good manners at home and in the community. TheTDItest is designed to evaluate dogs to go out to nursing homes, day cares and other locations to bring the joy of visiting with dogs.
