Welcome to the IRDTC first Training Session of 2012! Registration and demonstrations are scheduled for January 4th, 2012. Please bring proof of your dogs rabies vaccination when you register your dog or puppy when they have had it.
Owners and their dogs begin classes the week of January 9th. The last class of this session is the week of February 27th-March 1st.
Monday’s
6:00 – 7:00 PM Beginner and Advanced Rally – taught by Karlyn Berg
- Come develop or fine tune your Rally skills. You and your dog will work as a team to navigate through all levels of courses.

7:15 – 8:15 PM Novice/Open Obedience-taught by John and Kathy Perusich
- This class will consist of on/off leash heeling, sits, and downs. Some attention work. Exercises pertaining to Novice, Beginner Novice, Graduate Novice and Open.

Tuesday’s
6:00 – 6:45 PM Beginner/Starter Agility– taught by Jane Lehtinen
- Starting from foundation, we build on what we have learned and start using all of the contacts, jumps, and weaves to build a better understanding with our dogs to sequencing more than one obstacle at a time.

7:00 – 8:00 PM Agility Foundations-taught by Sandra Tuominen
- Beginner foundation class is for dogs and handlers who have never done agility before or want to retrain their agility foundation. We will start with basic ground work necessary for all crosses, beginning weave and contact obstacle training. This class will be for teams who want to have a safe and reliable foundation for agility work and would like to possibly explore competing in the future.

Wednesday’s
6:15 – 7:00 PM Puppy Obedience Class-taught by Deb Motley
- Puppy Class is for dogs 12 weeks to 5 months of age. This class is designed for owners to learn good puppy management skills by strengthening the bond between owner and puppy, addressing basic household manners, socialization and to understand canine behavior and body language. This foundation will allow you to train your puppy and build his skills and yours for a rewarding lifelong relationship.

7:15 – 8:00 PM Beginner Obedience-taught by Cathy Kishel
- This class is for dogs who have either completed Puppy Class or know the basic commands or are 6 months or older.

8:15 – 9:00 PM Tweeners –taught by Mary Beth Kafut and Patty Stanaway
· This class is for handlers thinking about advancing into the competition level of dog training. We will be working on sits, down stays, recalls, and on-leash heeling. Also working on fronts and finishes.

6:30 – 7:30 PM 4-H Classes
- (Weeks 1-4) Obedience taught by Deb Motley
- (Weeks 5-8) Rally taught by Jaime Skinner
