Sports/Agility Foundations Classes
This is a 16 week (2 eight week sessions) class to build the foundations for continuing on into the running type sports with your dog.

Foundations Session I: Concentrate on Focus, Body Awareness, Motivation, and introduction to agility/obedience/rally obstacles. Goal is to build confidence in your dog, learn what motivates them, create a bond for life (every day and/or competition).
Foundations Session II: Builds on Session I lessons strengthening Focus, Body Awareness, Motivation, and handling new agility/obedience/rally obstacles. Goal is to build confidence in your dog, learn what motivates them, create a bond for life (every day and/or competition).
Beginners: This class is for dogs 5 months and older. Everyday good manners and responsible dog ownership are taught through basic obedience. Topics : controlled walking, coming when called, sits, downs, stays, jumping.
Intermediate: Polishing skills learned in Beginner Obedience for the well-mannered dog and those possibly looking at going on to competition training.
Tweeners: This class is for those who have successfully completed our Beginner Obedience course but want more! We will work with refining the heeling, quicker sits & down, longer and more reliable stays and recalls.
For puppies 12 weeks to 5 months. Puppies will be socialized to handle new situations and people. Owners are initiated in training basic obedience commands such as: come, sit and down. Also included are house training, general puppy care and leash training.
S.T.A.R. Puppy [AKC]
For puppies with their first shots and who will be younger than 12 months old at the end of class. Start your puppy out right with socialization, training, activity, and responsibility. Focus is on owner, puppy, and pre-Canine Good Citizen (CGC) behaviors. There will be weekly evaluations as the class progresses and at the end of class. Puppies successfully completing the goals will receive the paperwork to obtain AKC recognition as a S.T.A.R. Puppy.
4H and YouthFor 4H and youth learning and handling their dog in Agility, Rally, Obedience or Showmanship.
This is for those interested in learning about and/or those wanting to/or currently competing in Rally Obedience. This involves dog/handler following a sign-based course. You will learn the general rules and experience courses. Great for teamwork building!
Compulsory Retrieve for Obedience and Field:
This class is for dogs at least 6 months old. It is for training your dog to reliably pick up, hold, deliver an object to your hand, and not release it until commanded to. Classes only last 15 minutes, however homework is 10 minutes DAILY. You will need a flat buckle collar and a leather glove. No pinch collars.
